Knox Catholic heading to the Tennessee State Playoffs

Knox Catholic heading to the Tennessee State High School playoffs, tomorrow.  Games Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday (if they keep winning).  The full schedule is here.

CAK seems to be the biggest competition, out of the lower bracket.

West 3-Knox Catholic 2

A good game between two Knoxville powerhouse teams.  Catholic scored early, but could not hold off West, with one PK in the first half and two close-in goals in the second half.

Knox Catholic 12 – Stone Memorial 0

The score does not reflect some skill work by the Stone Memorial boys team, but they simply could not put the ball into the net.  A couple of close chances in the second half, but alas, the game was far gone by then.
